【摘要】:Thistestmethodisameasureofthesolubilityofasphaltinn-propylbromide.Theportionthatissolubleinn-propylbromiderepresentstheactivecementingconstituents.Note28212;Thequalityoftheresultsproducedbythisstandardaredependentonthecompetenceofthepersonnelperformingtheprocedureandthecapability,calibration,andmaintenanceoftheequipmentused.AgenciesthatmeetthecriteriaofSpecificationD3666aregenerallyconsideredcapableofcompetentandobjectivetesting/sampling/inspection/etc.UsersofthisstandardarecautionedthatcompliancewithSpecificationD3666alonedoesnotcompletelyassurereliableresults.Reliableresultsdependonmanyfactors;followingthesuggestionsofSpecificationD3666orsomesimilaracceptableguidelineprovidesameansofevaluatingandcontrollingsomeofthesefactors.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofthedegreeofsolubilityinn-propylbromideofasphaltmaterials.ItisintendedtobeareplacementformethodD2042specifyingasolventthat,liketrichloroethylene,issafeinthatithasnoflashpoint,andhassimilarsolubilizingcharacteristicstotrichloroethylene,butitisnotconsideredtobeanozonedepleterbannedbytheKyotoProtocol.Sinceacompleteprecisionstatementforthistestmethodhasnotyetbeendeveloped,thistestmethodshouldnotbeusedforbuyingandsellingpurposesuntilthecompleteprecisionstatementisavailable.Note18212;Thismethodisnotapplicabletotarsandtheirdistillationresiduesorhighlycrackedpetroleumproducts.Formethodscoveringtars,pitches,andotherhighlycrackedpetroleumproducts,andtheuseofothersolvents,seeTestMethodsD4,D2318,andD2764.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.3Thetextofthisstandardreferencesnotesandfootnoteswhichprovideexplanatorymaterial.Thesenotesandfootnotes(excludingthoseintablesandfigures)shallnotbeconsideredasrequirementsofthestandard.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.SpecificprecautionstatementsaregiveninSection7.
