【摘要】:1.1Thistestmethodcoversthesampling/analysisofrespirablesuspendedparticles(RSP)andtheestimationoftheRSPfractionattributabletoenvironmentaltobaccosmoke(ETS).ThetestmethodisbasedoncollectionoftotalRSPonamembranefilter,extractionofthefilterinmethanol,anddeterminationofsolanesol,aC45isoprenoidalcohol,byhighperformanceliquidchromatography(HPLC)withultraviolet(UV)detection.1.2ThistestmethodiscompatiblewiththedeterminationsofgravimetricRSP,ultravioletparticulatematter(UVPM),andfluorescentparticulatematter(FPM)(seeTestMethodsD5955),butdoesnotrequirethem.UVPMandFPM,whicharebasedontheultravioletabsorbanceandfluorescenceofthefilterextract,arealsousedtoestimatethecontributionofETStoRSP.1.3Thesamplingcomponentsconsistofa1.0-mporesizepolytetrafluoroethylene(PTFE)membranefilterinafiltercassetteconnectedontheinletendtoaparticlesizeseparatingdeviceand,ontheoutletend,toasamplingpump.Thistestmethodisapplicabletopersonalandareasampling.1.4Thistestmethodislimitedinsampledurationonlybythecapacityofthemembranefilter.Thetestmethodhasbeenevaluatedupto24-hsampleduration;aminimumsampledurationof1hisrecommended.1.5Limitsofdetection(LOD)forthistestmethodatasamplingrateof2L/minare0.042g/m3for1-hsampledurationand0.005g/m3for8-hsampleduration.1.6ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Specificprecautionaryinformationisgivenin.
