【摘要】:ThisStandarddescribesasimpleexampleofverificationandvalidation(V&V)toillustratesomeofthekeyconceptsandprocedurespresentedinV&V10.Theexampleisanelastic,tapered,cantilever,boxbeamundernonuniformstaticloading.Thevalidationproblementailsauniformloadingoverhalfthelengthofthebeam.Theresponseofinterestisthetipdeflection.ThevalidationtestplanandthemetricsandaccuracyrequirementsforcomparingthecalculatedresponseswithmeasurementsarespecifiedintheV&VPlan,whichisdevelopedinthefirstphaseoftheV&Vprogram.InsettingvalidationrequirementsandestablishingabudgetfortheV&Vprogram,theV&VPlanconsidersthelevelofriskinusingthemodelforitsintendedpurpose.SuccessfullymeetingtheV&Vrequirementsmeansthatthecomputationalmodelforthetaperedbeamhasbeenvalidatedfortheintendedusediscussedinthisdocument,viz.,predictingtheresponseofataperedbeamtestedinthelaboratory.Thefollowingtwovalidationapproacheswereconsidered:(a)acasewhereuncertaintydatawerenotavailableandobtainedinsteadfromsubjectmatterexperts.(b)acasewhereuncertaintydatawereavailablefromrepeattestsandcalculations.

【摘要】:Apparentporosity,waterabsorption,apparentspecificgravity,andbulkdensityareprimarypropertiesofburnedrefractorybrickandshapes.Thesepropertiesarewidelyusedintheevaluationandcomparisonofproductqualityandaspartofthecriteriaforselectionanduseofrefractoryproductsinavarietyofindustrialapplications.Thesetestmethodsareusedfordetermininganyoralloftheseproperties.Thesetestmethodsareprimarystandardmethodswhicharesuitableforuseinqualitycontrol,researchanddevelopment,establishingcriteriaforandevaluatingcompliancewithspecifications,andprovidingdatafordesignpurposes.Fundamentalassumptionsinherentinthesetestmethodsarethatthetestspecimensarenotattackedbywater,thetestspecimensconformtotherequirementsforsize,configuration,andoriginalfaces,theopenporesofthetestspecimensarefullyimpregnatedwithwaterduringtheboilingtreatment,andtheblottingofthesaturatedtestspecimensisperformedasspecifiedinaconsistentanduniformmannertoavoidwithdrawingwaterfromthepores.Deviationfromanyoftheseassumptionsadverselyaffectsthetestresults.Inlaboratorystudiesinvolvingcastablespecimen,abiaswasnotedbetweenformed2by2by2x2013;in.(50by50by50x2013;mm)andspecimensthatwerequarteredfromlarger9by4.5by2.5(228by114by64mm)castspecimens.Additionally,anerrorintheapparentporositydeterminationoncastableswasfoundwheneverthespecimenswereheatedto1500x00B0;F(816x00B0;C)andthenexposedtowaterasasaturationmedia(TestMethodC830).Theerrorwasattributedtoreactivityofcementwithwaterandsubsequentre-hydrationofcementphases.Thehigherthecementlevelofthecastable,thegreatertheerrornoted.Itwasconcludedthatanerrorinporosityvaluescouldoccurforrefractorymaterialshavingapotentialtoformhydratedspecieswithwater.Certainprecautionsmustbeexercisedininterpretingandusingresultsfromthesetestmethods.Allfourpropertyvaluesareinterrelatedbyatleasttwoofthethreebasedatavaluesgeneratedduringtesting.Thus,anerrorinanybasedatavaluewillcauseanerrorinatleastthreeofthepropertyvaluesforagiventestspecimen.Certainoftheproperties,thatis,apparentspecificgravityandbulkdensity,arefunctionsofotherfactorssuchasproductcomposition,compositionalvariabilitywithinthesameproduct,imperviousporosity,andtotalporosity.Generalizationsonorcomparisonsofpropertyvaluesshouldonlybejudiciouslymadebetweenlikeproductstestedbythesetestmethodsorwithfullrecognitionofpotentiallyinherentdifferencesbetweentheproductsbeingcomparedorthetestmethodused.1.1Thesetestmethodscoverthedeterminationofthefollowingpropertiesofburnedrefractorybrick:1.1.1Apparentporosity,1.1.2Waterabsorption,1.1.3Apparentspecificgravity,and1.1.4Bulkdensity.1.2Thesetestmethodsarenotapplicabletorefractoriesattackedbywater.1.3Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
